About
Purpose of study
The University of Queensland is conducting research to investigate the effects of morning versus evening exercise on weight loss, dietary behaviours and overall health and fitness.
What are the benefits of participating?
You will receive:
• A detailed health and fitness report including:
-body composition scans (DXA)
-metabolic testing (RMR)
-fitness testing (VO2peak)
-diet assessment
• Advice on healthy living and goal setting techniques
• A 12-week exercise programme
That’s up to $3,500 of training and testing for FREE
What does it involve?
The research project runs for approximately 10 months and consists of:
• 12 weeks of supervised exercise training, prescribed either in the morning (between 6am-9am), or in the evening (between 4pm-7pm), depending on which group you are randomised to.
During the first 4 weeks, you will be required to attend 5 exercise sessions per week.
Weeks 5-6: 4 supervised sessions
Weeks 7-8: 3 supervised sessions
Weeks 9-12: 2 supervised sessions
